Today:  Brigham A. McCown is a federal transportation safety and energy infrastructure policy expert. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Nouveau Corp, a Southlake, Texas-based consulting firm that specializes in transportation and energy fields.

2009 – 2010:  Served as the Commissioner of Planning & Zoning for the city of Southlake, TX.

2003 – 2007:  Mr. McCown served in several leadership roles during both terms of President George W. Bush’s presidency in Washington D.C. Until 2007, Mr. McCown served as a senior executive at the United States Department of Transportation of Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

 2006:  Authored the PIPES Act of 2006 which improved safety and increased government oversight of the pipeline industry while also providing additional operational flexibility to pipeline operators.

 1988 – 2013:  Served as a Naval Officer, and later as a Naval Aviator of the United States Navy and United States Dept. of Defense.
