
After six years of kicking the can down the road, the President will finally have the out he needs to approve the Keystone pipeline. The question is, will he?
The Senate yesterday passed a bill approving the Keystone pipeline, 62 to 36 with nine Democrats abandoning the White House in order to vote for the measure. If the President were perceptive, he would approve the line in order to get the entire matter behind him as quickly as possible.
Now that the Senate has overwhelmingly approved a bill, authorizing construction of the final leg of the Keystone pipeline network, it’ll set in motion a series of steps that will demonstrate whether the President is serious about addressing our nation’s deteriorating infrastructure system.
